In my defense, I’d only ever seen Tomb Raider once, years and years ago when it came out, and back when I saw the Super Mario Bros. movie I’d never really played that much of the games (having always owned a Sega system rather than Nintendo back then).

All I knew of the original story was that it was about a couple of plumbers who had to traverse a strange world in order to rescue a kidnapped princess from some weird lizard thing.

In other news: this comic was late because I was illness incarnate, another comic will go up later this week to compensate and, starting next week, As You’re Up will start updating on Wednesdays instead of Tuesdays!
